These high quality float switches are designed for pump duty loads. The float switch is as normally closed or pump up (circuit is complete when the float is hanging down).
The float cord is intended to be attached to a vertical pipe a band clamp, cable tie or tether clamp. As an option the float can be installed with a cable weight as the pivot point.
This float has a 120 VAC Piggyback Plug, where no junction boxes or complicated electrical connections are needed. Plug the switch into a standard 120 VAC outlet, and plug your pump into the piggyback plug.
